Summit Academy students in 1st through 6th grade recently traveled to the Palouse for a field trip. The morning was spent at the Palouse Discover Science Center where they were able to learn about many science principles through hands-on play. The students learned where heat commonly escapes from our homes with a heat-camera model. Other hands-on exhibits included an anti-gravity mirror, a life-size operating room model and gyro chair.

The students were able to spend an hour at Planet 3 extreme before traveling back the the Prairie. The jumping center kept everyone active on the many trampolines and in the foam pit and obstacle course. The teachers were happy to provide an opportunity for both a learning and physical education element for the students.

Below: A student tries out the anti-gravity mirror, while other students react to it's effect.
