

Summit staff enjoys workshops & downtime in Boise
Summit faculty & staff attended the Catholic Education Conference in Boise on October 5-7. Everyone enjoyed keynote speaker Mark Hart, daily Mass with Bishop Peter, time for adoration, and attending workshops. The conference also allowed the staff time to socialize together, which is an opportunity they don't get during the school week. Bishop Peter's homily is included here. ALI B TUFI Strikes Again
Superheroes and slobs visited classrooms last week to remind students about the practice of ALI B TUFI at Summit Academy. Juniors and Seniors, donned in crazy costumes, ran into classrooms spewing papers and other debris. They were closely followed by superheroes "Ali" and "Tufi" who cleaned up the garbage and spoke to the students who witnessed the mess making. 3rd & 4th celebrate Wonka
Mr. Rehder and the 3rd and 4th grade class recently finished reading the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. They celebrated the end of the book by having a SWEET Wonka party where they presented shadow boxes of the chocolate factory, ate lots of candy, and watched the movie. This narrative book had many fun settings and characters and the class can't wait to begin their next book! After all, reading is the true Golden Ticket!
