Students in 7th & 8th Grade put on a Mock Trial for Sanger Rainsford after reading the short story The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell. In the story, General Zaroff owns an island and hunts stranded travelers for sport. After being shipwrecked on the island, Rainsford kills the general while defending his life. The 7th and 8th grade served as defense and prosecution while a selection of high school students provided a jury. Judge David Counts (HS Humanities teacher) oversaw the trial.
